You may have not heard about CBE edition of Kaspersky because it never appears in the Official Site of Kaspersky . But it  do exist ! And Anyway , You can use and download it free of charge .

Kaspersky Security Suite CBE inculds the function of antivirus, antimalware, firewall, antispam, proactive defense , application filtering, antiphishing, network attack blocker, antidialer, and banner ad blocker , which is actually the smae with Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 ! But it is in German (not in English) and just free for the readers of  Computer Bild, one of the best selling German language computer magazine in Europe.

Then I ‘ll tell you how to get it and convert the language from German to English !

1. Go to this page and fill up the form to register for an account at computerbild.de.

2. Check your email. You should get an email from ComputerBild with confirmation link to activate your account.

3. Check the second checkbox to request for the Kaspersky Security Suite CBE 09 license key and click the “Lizenzschlüssel anfordern” button.

4. Check your email again and this time you’ll get an email containing the license key to activate Kaspersky Security Suite CBE 2009. (The license key that you get will always be the same. So don’t bother requesting multiple times with different accounts)

5. Download latest Kaspersky Security Suite CBE 2009 and install. Now everything is in German. If you can understand German language, then you don’t really need to change the language to English. For others, continue the steps.

6. After installation and Kaspersky Security Suite CBE 09 is running, click the Einstellungen button on the top right to bring up the settings window.

7. Click Parameter and uncheck Selbstschutz aktiveren. Click OK to close the Einstellungen window.

8. Go to Start > Run, type regedit and click OK. Navigate to the following path in the Registry Editor:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP8\environment

9. Look for Localization and double click to edit the string.

10. Change the value data from de to en.

11. You can either Restart your computer or terminate Kaspersky Security Suite CBE 09 and run it again to see the changes. See the image below, Kaspersky Security Suite CBE 09 in ENGLISH!

Never mind the liscense is so short . in fact ,  Computer Bild will expand it when it’s near the deadline .
