Just yesterday , Fedora project just released the newest version of Fedora —Fedora 11 ! Although I think Linux is really a wonderful stuff , but if you wanna install it as the new version comes out , you may need many CDs because of its frequent releasement .
Today , I ‘ll show you another way to install Fedora 11 or maybe newer or older version with your USB device ! The USB to install has many advantages : no harm to USB , restore your data as you wish , you can format it when you don’t need it .
In fact , Fedora project release a official tools to help us to build a bootable USB . But please remember this software only support Fedora’s LiveCD files not DVD or other Linux distributions (I haven’t try it on Ubuntu etc.)…

You can find this software here : https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/
I think it easy to use it ! just as follows ,
1.download the .ISO of LiveCD on http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora-all and save it to a folder with an Only-English name (never contains Chinese or other language)
2.download the LiveUSB-Creator in https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/ and unzip it.
3.Plugin your USB device now;
4.LiveUSB-Creator is a portable software , so run liveusb-creator directly and it will detect your USB device atomatically;
5.browse the path to the ISO file you get in Step 1 and click “Creat LiveUSB” , This may take you some time , so have a rest … and if you can see this , you won !

6.Never be too happy to check if it works . exit the program , and keep you USB plugined . Reboot your system . Login your PC’s BIOS and setup the “first boot device” ( maybe defferent from yours) to “USB device” ( maybe defferent from yours) . If you can see fedora’s welcome screen . You succeed now !
Notice: Not all mainboards of computers support the function of booting from USB . And the way to login your BIOS is to click the hotkey ( maybe ” DEL” key) once the computer boot.
