Why did my SUSE just lose its sound ?

Well , today I just received the a copy of evaluated DVD of SUSE Enterprise edition from Novell and I soon install it . Although , I have to say it takes me a long time but we should admit that it’s really a wonderful linux system ! Stable and reliable (Now you may learn why my blog is called “MySUSE” :) )
suse

However , after a reboot , I find my SUSE lost its voice because when I run my Banshee , the timeline went on but none sound came with … So I installed ASLA . But nothing change .

I will tell you also the progress I solve the problem ~Then I found a great article from opensuse.org when you can find it here

I use the command :
speaker-test -Dplug:front -c2 -l5 -twav

(you can just copy the code above and paste it in your terminal ! )

and I find it works, I mean there is the test sound appearingĀ  ! but still , Totem and Banshee didn’t speak ~

Then I went to Yast ->hardware->sound and give the setting a edit . and restore !

There seems an error , but Banshee works again !

In fact , I can’t tell you why it happens ,I canonly say that there maybe something wrong happening during the last time I edit the sound card and it can’t be commanded by the SUSE program but still can work via the sginal sent by the driver tools , so that Banshee have no sound but it sounds again when we use the special comands !
